bootguy1 Are there velcro or similar pouches in the elbows or shoulders to add armor pads?

bootguy1 not going to dicker about the price btw, it's very fair. Going to use this for actual riding so I need to know if it can receive armor or not. Looks like it might because it has a mesh lining = real riding jacket. Also, to clarify, this is a men's xl yes? (I'm a tall guy). Just asking because it's in the women's category for selling - but it says men's on the listing. Thanks!

dcmalcolm @bootguy1 it’s men’s. Not sure what you mean by armor. It is a riding jacket. It’s really a great jacket.

bootguy1 It is a nice jacket. I prefer the lighter colors like white because they're more visible too. Armor are foam pads that go in the elbows and shoulders. Like football pads but smaller. If you unzip the insulating liner and look at the mesh at either shoulder or elbow, there would be flap (usually velcro) in the mesh for a pocket about 4 inches by 8 inches - you slide the pad unto that pocket. It'll be obvious if it's there or not. Thanks for looking.

dcmalcolm @bootguy1 sorry it’s taken so long to get back to you I’ve been out of town backpacking. I checked the jacket I’m sorry to say it doesn’t have the Velcro pockets for the armor. That sure would make it a safer jacket for you. Be careful out there especially with the bad weather.

bootguy1 Thanks for getting back to me! I ended up with an armored Vanson. It's my 4th jacket. I'm so used to armor that not having it would feel weird. Good luck, it's still a good looker.
