This is a TIMEX brown leather strap watch with a stainless steel back. It’s very comfortable and in excellent condition and is basically brand new!! Nothing is wrong with it, although it does need a new battery. marsyroxy23 Thanks so much ... because Timex made both kinds ... battery and windup ... this really looks like a windup because it does not say Quartz ... or Timex Q ... in those days Quartz was way more expensive and would make sure people knew it ... back then wind up cost $12.00, and a quartz was $85.00 ... something like two to three hundred dollars today. Anyway ... thanks for the info.

marsyroxy23 Also it could be an electronic or electric watch ... but again usually it says so on the dial ... and on the back you can see where the battery goes ... anyway you should have someone open it up and see ... or just see if the crown turns and you can feel it wind up the watch ... simple. Thanks again.
