Mescalero Apache Talking Stick handmade by Pete Whitehorse from New Mexico. It has DeerBone beads, coyote teeth, and feathers made from DeerBone and jet stone arrowheads to make the stringer. It is covered in rabbit fur with hand beaded handle and horse hair frill. The Traditional Dreamcatcher and Medicine Wheel are made with sinewed and DeerBone. A authentic one-of-a-kind piece.

In The Native American culture the stick is used and passed around a meeting the person that holds the stick, is the one talking and everyone give that person their attention

@bmanakas I’m sorry, I think you have this titled under the wrong tribe. We, the Mescalero Apaches don’t use this sort of stick nor do they pass sticks around in meetings.

Pete Whitehorse is a Mescalero Apache, his family have worked with several tribes and maybe using rituals from other tribes, but has incorporated some of his Mescalero Apache tribe symbols with the item. Also known as a spirit medicine stick by the Apaches or a medicine shield Talkingstick Mescalero Apaches also called this a (war club & coup stick 1860). All of our Native American things are aesthetic we have worked with our native artist for over 30 years.
