The designs include the legendary blue poppy of the Himalayas from a hand-colored lithograph by Walter Hood Fitch (Scottish, 1817-1892), and four hand-colored stipple engravings— anemone, primrose, tulip, and sweet pea-by the great botanical illustrator, Pierre Joseph Redouté (Belgian, 1759-1840), who was known in his time as "the Raphael of flowers."
