Mexican Bytownite Oval 3.5ct 12x10mm Original Box Sealed Gold Yellow Champaign

Mexican Bytownite Oval 3.5 CT 12x10 mm in Original Box Sealed Natural Pastel Gold Yellow Champaign Color Acquired as part of a jeweler's lot of gemstones, this pretty stone appears to be sealed in it's original box. As such, I photo'd it the best I could without removing it. I believe people like to interchange bytownite with golden labradorite and my brief research shows they are very closely related. Another similar stone is available in this store at the time of this writing. Bytownite is one of the most impressive and sough after gemstones from Durango Mountains in Mexico. Named after its origin, the "BYTOWN" now Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Bytownite occurs in Magmatic and metamorphic rocks. It is part of the plagioclase feldspar solid solution series. It has a composition closer to calcium-rich anorthite than sodium-rich albite, about 70-90% to 10-30%, respectively. Bytownites occur in a great variety of rock types and environments, However, transparent crystals are rare. Measurements:  12mm L x 10mm W (3.5 ct) Condition:  Appears to be in very good condition. The jewel is sealed in the jewelers packaging and has not been disturbed. Please see all photos.
