Mexican Huipil

Handmade white cotton traditional huipil blouse with gorgeous fuschia and purple embroidery. Top pulls on overhead and has a v-neck closure that can be tied close. The placket is heavily embroidered all the way around like a mantle and has an additional trim of flowers. The cap sleeves have the same floral motif and satin stitching. It is all hand embroidered. No labels, it measures 24" armpit/pit; 24" long and has 8.5" armhole openings. It is the traditional boxy shape that huipils are known for. It is in excellent condition; I haven't laundered due to the fact that the vibrant embroidery may run. A fabulous find from an avid anthropology professor and collector.
