Mexico 64g Pineda-Inspired Sterling Onyx Hinged Cuff

I thought it over before lowering the price with Poshmark's latest scheme. Now the scheme is rescinded, so the price goes back up. :( This hinged Mexican sterling cuff was apparently inspired by the columnar cabochons of Antonio Pineda. Made from 64 grams of silver and onyx, it is stamped "925 Mexico Sterling." The spirit is Brutalist, but the look is midcentury streamline. The unnamed craftsmen here were clearly paying attention to the form and function of this gorgeous cuff. The front panel features 5 graduated onyx cabochons that widen from 15mm to 30mm at center for impression of grandeur. The sides narrow to a more comfortable 9mm then flare to 15mm at the clasp, adding strength to this functional component. (Note that the clasp curves inward a bit.) Bold and impressive, this cuff is also smooth and smart looking. PLEASE READ As for fit, the cuff is about 6.5" inside and *not adjustable*. It would be best for smaller gals. Photos show my 6-1/4” (16cm) wrist wearing it, with a 5-10mm gap that is loose enough to be comfortable though it cannot twist all the way around. Excellent condition with light wear on the silver, no gouges or cuts. Under a loupe, I see no lines or nicks in the onyx. The hinges are stable, with a little play on the stamped side. (Best to hold a cuff like this in the center, not by the wings.) The clasp clicks crisply and holds firm. Although no guarantee can be made with vintage, I see no issues and the piece feels solid.
