katie1945 How do we know it works properly? It needs the battery in order to find that out. When the jeweler replaces the battery he will (normally) set it and then determine its accuracy so you can guarantee that it’s working. Like you said the new battery should only be $20.......you just add that amount to the current for sale price and I am your buyer 😀 Thank you so much for listening to my suggestion. Katie
