brettaferrie @canshopper hi! it does need a battery. They are about $6.99 on Amazon. But it would be easier for a buyer to buy the battery at a store (e.g. Walmart), as they have the tools to open the back. They do that free of charge. I would gladly accept a return if for some reason it didn't work.

canshopper @brettaferrie I did that already with someone else. Was supposedly okay and then it didn’t work 2 days later, which I returned. Don’t want to do that again…….and I bought a new battery and that cost me $20 because of the labor at the jewelry store.

brettaferrie @canshopper Ahhh, I completely understand. I will try to get to a store in the next couple of days and have the battery put in. All of the movements do work. I'm unable to drive, so I have to wait until my hubby is available. Depending on the cost, I may have to increase the price slightly.
