This Unusual Bay Keramik Pottery Vase has a great, gritty lava glaze over Bay’s signature white clay. The pattern and color evoke thoughts of mossy Grecian amphoras found under the ocean with other ancient treasures! The glaze has hints of creamy seafoam white with green and brown moss tones and a very light sea water green. This fascinating piece is wonderfully textural and quite pleasing to the eye. It will make an Attractive Addition to any Shelf or Table Composition!
The ceramic vase is in excellent vintage condition with light age/use related wear. It has a few of the natural bips, glaze pops, and small anomalies associated with glazed and fired clay pottery. There are no major flaws I can detect. I have not cleaned or touched it up in any way. Approximate measurements are 6.75” tall by 4.00” wide and deep. It bears its original sticker to the base, the style of which places its manufacture to between 1967 and 1972. The base is also stamped “W. Germany” and “72 17” which indicates form number and height in centimeters. The vase pictured is the actual piece you will receive, so please see the photos for more detailed information on size and condition. Thanks!
