Mid Century Modern Vintage Playing Cards Deck Set Arrco Duratone Flowers Fruit

Features darling mid century vintage paintings of floral centerpiece artwork with white spider chrysanthemums and red anthurium. Features bananas, grapes, plums, and apples nestled in base of arrangement. These cards are approximately dated to the 1950s and both sets are complete with 52 cards each, no jokers. The box is blue velvet and features gold edging and a gold embossed stamp with Arrco’s trademark branding Plastic Coated Duratone Playing Cards. Please understand that these retro beauties are aged, with some yellowing, but they are in completely playable condition. The founder of Arrco, formerly the Arrow Playing Card Company, established in 1927, stated that, “One important matter I must mention in regard to our ambition to produce a fine quality playing-card that would compete with the very best marketed by our competitors. We did a lot of experimenting with better cardboard and better finish. This we started in 1941, and by the following year we were ready to offer our new line to the trade. It was instantly accepted as a superior product.
