Mid-Century Blue Enamel & Copper Set

This is a beautiful copper and sky blue enamel necklace and earrings set. The copper design is abstract but not fussy. The blue enamel gives the pieces a Southwestern feel without the need to commit to the whole SW look. It's an elegant and unusual pairing of colors. It would look amazing against darker skin. -- The earrings are signed. The necklace is about 18" long and is adjustable. The earrings are clip-ons and larger versions of the necklace. They're 1/2 inch wide. Mid-century copper jewelry like this came into style after WWII as a reaction by Beatniks to expensive metals representing the establishment. Copper was plentiful and cheap and an easy metal for jeweler's to transform into a design. It also grows more beautiful with age.
