Mike Benet Formals - Vintage Red Floor Length Spagetti Strap Formal w/ Gorgeous Draped Fabric on the Bust (est. 1970-1998) in glossy satin. For those who might not know the story behind this brand, Mike Benet formals: The Company was founded in a tiny town in Texas in the early 1960s by a woman who looked at the options of formal dresses at the time and thought she could do it better. They grew the business to such a point where the Lawrence Welk Show (one of the major TV shows of its day) and Miss America Pageant contestants came calling for dresses. There was a great commitment to quality. The Company was sold in 1998 when one of the family members died and they could no longer keep the business up and running. The legacy lives on in Vintage clothing shops. This is a gem of a dress. The draping on the bust is impeccable. The dress is lined in the bust but unlined in the train. There are two tiny water spots on the bottom of the train in the front that the camera didn't pick up very well or I would have included a picture. Otherwise the dress is in pristine condition. Truly a treasure to own and to wear.
