Mikimoto Pearl Brooch | Sterling Silver Spray Leaf Japanese Cultured Saltwater Akoya Vintage Elegant Signed This brooch features three beautifully matched Akoya pearls peg set within a floral spray sterling silver design. Pearls have beautiful luster. Hallmark reads M and S in separate cartouches (see photo). A classic piece to add to you collection. Measurements:  1 1/4" W x 7/8" H x 1/4" D ~3.4g Condition:  Excellent vintage condition with some fine scratches and signs of wear (shown with loupe) consistent with age. Please see all photos. About Mikimoto: Mikimoto opened his first pearl boutique in Tokyo's Ginza district in 1899. Stores in London, Paris and other major cities soon followed.Kokichi Mikimoto devoted his life to pearls and lived to be 96 years old, passing away in Japan on September 21, 1954. His luxury pearl company and artistic vision still live on today.
