I would say they are medium width. I think they look wider in photos due to the weight of the medallion pushing out the sides of the strap.

I just tried them on, they're a bit big on me and I will say they are much quieter than the rubber flip flops I was wearing, they don't smack but they're not silent.

Hadn't really tried them on earlier. They are a lot softer and more comfy than the flip flops I am wearing...dang, I wish they were my size!
