I love everything about these booties. The dark brown leather could look almost black yet shows hits of auburn. They have a sturdy 3-inch chucky heel and a little leather fringe around the ankle. The inside is man made material. I've had these stored away in my closet for years and may have worn them 2 or 3 times. They're in excellent condition (almost new) with slight sings of wear. They are a bit too narrow for my liking, but besides that, they fit true to size.
