Mod Golden Rose Brocade Mini Dress 1960s

Classic mid-mod mini dress in a gold and cream brocade with a rose design. Minx Modes is the label, a brand that was in production from the early 1950s to the late 1960s. The fabric design is detailed and substantial enough no slip is needed. Sleeveless with a defined waist. This is a petite cut dress that was hemmed for the original owner and has6- 7" of hidden hem that could be let down for someone with a longer torso or legs. The dress looks barely worn--the hemmed material and visible material are the same shade, as if it was hemmed yesterday. On a taller woman, the waist might be more empire than natural in the way it fits. Has two sewn-in Kleinert's dress guards, very lightly worn that date to the early 60s. Has one small stain on the inside just inside the neckline (a small spill from a drink maybe?). Custom tailored for the original owner, this classic midcentury mini-dress makes a statement. It is an extra small.
