Modern MALA, 6mm semiprecious 1st quality beads sterling findings

Dalmation Jasper, sterling findings, seed beads, hand strung on double 7lb firewire. I am a Yoga Teacher with a strong meditation practice yet I also love fashion. In the traditional MALA there is a tassel at the center of 108 beads. Personally, as I wear only Malas as jewelry, so I came up with the MODERN MALA. This simply means that the tassel has been replaced with a Hill Tribe silver OM symbol, or the Namaste' sign. I use 6mm 1st quality semiprecious beads only and the finished piece is about 32" long. Depending on the size of your wrist this may be wrapped as a bracelet. It may be doubled around the head for a 2strand necklace. The OM is attached to the t-bar of the closure after it has been threaded through the "O" clasp making it impossible to fall off accidentally. The clasp has a hinge that allows you to disconnect to be able to wrap easily and then replace the clasp as before
