Moira 18k Yellow Gold Diamond Plique A Jour Enamel Flower Brooch Pendant A fabulous plique-a-jour brooch designed by Moira of Bond Street, London and handcrafted for her in Turkey. Beautifully executed to depict a Poppy in graduating colors of yellow/oranges/pinks. The petals are fresh & semi-translucent with a hint of billowing movement from the breeze behind. The flower head is large at 7 cm and is center set with single cut Diamonds to the throat in cluster flower form with black enameled tips on gold pistils surrounding. Petals are webbed in 18K yellow gold, detailed in sporadic Diamond edging set in blackened silver tipped on 18K yellow gold. The Petals are asymmetrical as would be found in nature - this wonderful piece clearly draws its' inspiration from the earlier Art Nouveau floral works. The pin has a large, detachable broaching assembly and is appropriately markings with a registration number for MOIRA. CONDITION: In overall excellent vintage condition with no evidence of loss, repairs or replacements within. Plique-a-jour is well executed and semi-translucent. Diamonds: (99) Bright & well matched VVS-VS, F-G totaling approx 1.25 carats by gauge & formula. Weight by scale: 30 grams. 20th Century.
