Price is for both. Trays included. The Tasting Bottles have been washed and ready for new tasting solution. There are 8 bottles in total for four different taste profiles: sour, salty, sweet and bitter. The idea is to taste and match. I included some laminated taste labels. The Smelling Jars consists of twelve bottles in all. One set has a black lid and the other has white lid. These still have the old scents in them. We used cotton balls dipped in essential oil for different scents. You may reuse them or put your own scents. The Smelling Jars and Tasting Bottles are sensorial materials in Montessori. Selling together. The trays are made of beechwood/plywood. Trays: tasting: 13”x4”, smelling: 12”x4”

maisonbelle Hi! Thank you for the well packaged bottles. Can you please let me know what was in each scent bottle? Thank you!

ftippett @maisonbelle hi there! It’s been a while since we used it. I forgot what the scents they were. But I think there was a color coding at the bottom of those bottle to tell which ones are supposed to match together. If you want you can change the scents to use your own.

maisonbelle @ftippett got it. Could you try and think of what was in one pair of the bottles.. it is the only one that didn’t have a cloth in it. Instead, there is a buildup of something on the bottom of the 2 matching bottles. It is a very strong scent and is giving my husband and I a headache so I want to know what it is. Thank you!

ftippett @maisonbelle oh I’m sorry. Honestly I wouldn’t be able to figure which essential oil it was. They were used in Montessori learning to match the smells not so much to identify what the smell was. So, I’m sorry if I can’t be more helpful. 😞
