Moroccan Hand Woven Throw

I purchased this wonderful throw while visiting some of the Berber villages in Morocco. There are many cooperatives that hire local women to weave various items to help the women to provide income for their families. This throw is wonderful in shades of red, pink, and purple in a plaid pattern. Two edges have fringe. The throw measures approximately 80 inches by 60 inches. I believe it is woven from a mixture of wool and cotton, but they are also known for weaving with cactus, so not really sure. It is not scratchy but I wouldn't call it soft. Still, it is a beautiful woven piece with stories to tell.
