Mortar & Pestle/Wooden from Martinique Hand Carved 7x4.5

This is a beautiful wooden mortar and Pestle set. The mortar has carved into the top Rim Martinique. I am guessing that this piece came home with someone that had purchased it on vacation. Martinique is a rugged Caribbean island that's part of the Lesser Antilles and overseas region of France, which has a blend of French and West Indian influences. The mortar is 7" tall and 4.5" wide. The Pestle is 8.5" Long. The pestle has the remainder of a tag on its bottom. I Believe it to have Never been used. This wooden mortar pestle set is in good condition consistent with its age wear and prior use. It does have a small chip on the base. Any other imperfections note pictures. Pre-owned 437
