Celebrating 50 years of Mugler , by sharing one of my favorite pieces from his archives, From Thierry Mugler’s secondary line Mugler Trademark (which preceded Mugler Activ & later Mugler) comes this wild slime tech jacket with stylized hood, and metal button closures, all etched with the Mugler trademark monogram. Obviously the star here is the hidden backpack on inside back of the jacket, which can be activated simply by one fell swoop, literally transforming your coat into a practical accessory within seconds. The distinctly 90s yet modern logo (referenced by so many music videos, artists etc) can also be seen on holographic patches throughout this piece on the back of the jacket and also the front of the backpack. A drawstring, added for those Mugler fans that need their waist snatched, utilitarian straps and unique hardware throughout Thierry Mugler launched Mugler trademark at the start of the 90s which was focused on youthful futuristic yet accessible pieces still imbued with the bold, fierce spirit of Thierry Mugler.. Truly one of the rarest vintage pieces I’ve discovered, A time capsule for the 90s, yet so fresh in his futuristic Size on label: M-L (is my estimate- tags faded) supposed to be worn oversized.
