gidgetpal Ty. She wakes up like a baby. After potty before breakfast she likes to be wrapped & held like a baby in my arm on her back. If its cold she snuggles her face into me, if its warm she likes the blanket opened & her tummy rubbed. Yes I know too much! And yes it's probably all my fault! She is very sweet & well-behaved & I do take her everywhere. Why I need specific doggy-to-go bags to smuggle her in places lol. I am working on starting up a custom-made personalized doggie-to-go-bags business based on my experience, for other wacky small dog owners like me that put clothes on their dogs & drag them everywhere. I'm hoping Gidget agrees to be the spokesmodel lol.

gidgetpal @cherylanney Hi! Maybe it's becuz I use my cell phone but I don't get my notifications from posh. I happened to remember to check in here just today. I don't FB anymore & I just heard something about how ur profile is now public, no choice, so I probably won't go back. When I FB'd regularly I seemed to get my email accounts hacked alot too but I know that could be my lack of knowledge of keeping my info secure. I try 2b more careful now. My computer also went down so im looking for a laptop. When I do buy one I've heard good things about tumbler & that alot of people use Skype.

gidgetpal @cherylanney Re vitamins: Look around in ur areas to see if there is a small organic, whole foods, store around. Their prices will be slightly higher but the employees usually know their stuff , so at the least u will get useful info. I had specific areas that I wanted to address with myself. I stress that each individual is different & the most important thing is to listen & know ur own body & be patient. Unfortunately it can be mostly trial & error. So what works for me might not work for others. I also do not recommend brands but just watch out for certain things. Try to buy vitamins made from organic whole foods & no fillers. Google ingredients. U will find that generic brands, mainstream brands, organics will have same vitamins or levels but the difference is the fillers added & where they extracted the vitamins or chemically synthesized. Some Experts will argue they are the same. In this case I do not agree because if u relate it to our bodies they are not the same. If a vitamin is chemically produced &/or has fillers, ur body will not absorb properly if at all because it does not recognize it as nutrition & will do its best to just pass it out. For starters & basic maintenance & just the avg lifestyle I believe we should take a good daily & probiotic. Stay away from commercial popular mainstream. Alive is a good whole foods based daily vitamin & is available now almost everywhere - even Walmart & is very reasonably priced. Not to sound paranoid but that makes me wonder a little bit if they're cutting costs somewhere so I keep a keen eye on ingredients list. A good probiotic is worth the extra $ especially if u have stomach/digestion aches & pains. I get mine strictly from a vitamin/health food store. I have a lot of issues with my digestive/intestinal so I get the 50 billion count, which is the highest & most expensive, but for me worth it. If u can Go to a vitamin store for that because u will pay either the same or a little less for better quality & higher count strains. There is a good general probiotic for women called pearl, which I've seen in the grocery stores now too that's pretty good & moderately priced at 19.99 (that price from the health food store). Again if u have specific issues (eg yeast, gut etc) go to the small organic store that has knowledgable staff. I have found in the big vitamin chain stores the staff is too trained to sell sell sell but I can't generalize everybody :)

gidgetpal @cherylanney As I said when I started giving my body good nutrition not just feeding it food the excess weight just slowly dropped off by itself. I reached a plateau a couple of times & had to jump start & do something different. Because the vitamins worked so well for me & I am not consistent enough in working out I have also tried GLA & CLA. I have found that it usually takes 30 days to notice a difference (to me it felt like nothing different for forever & then one day I noticed a difference. I don't weigh myself because for me that is too stressful & self defeating & I have alot of muscle - it's just covered by fat! I gauge on fit of my clothes & how I feel) I have also found that CLA & GLA work best taken in conjunction, depending on ur body. If u feel good & pretty active & just looking to trim up a little I would just take the CLA if u go that route. If ur a regular exerciser i dont think u should take either. CLA & GLA are not real cheap & questionable whether really do anything. U have 2 listen 2 ur own body. I often wonder with myself if its just a placebo effect (this does not apply to my opinion about a good daily vitamin & probiotic)

gidgetpal @cherylanney I take a couple other things like amino acids because I had a severe short term memory problem (like got really bad seemingly overnight). My memory has improved dramatically but then again it could be because I was finally giving my body & brain good nutrition. I just know that I feel better so I don't want to change anything at this point. Ideally if u can find a reputable one & can afford it go to a dr that specializes in alternative medicine (but I'm sure u know not strictly alternative, a combo of conventional & alternative). I personally believe pharm cos. greatly influence the med field, not necessarily to the patients benefit. They look to relieve symptoms while alternative seeks the source. I believe a healthy comb of both is the best. Only i can truly know what my body is feeling & I think it's in everyone's own best interest to take a very active & interactive role in their own health. Not everything touted in the vitamin world works but must still base on ur own personal needs & experiences. Unfortunately this trial & error does cost $ but I'm not sure what else to do. Both the alternative & conventional worlds I think at times is strictly based on profits. Who knows, I can make myself dizzy thinking about it. These are my personal beliefs & I don't intend to push on anyone. I hope ur not wishing u never asked me about vitamins ;). I can be very longwinded!!

gidgetpal I take acetyl l carnitine: alc. Supposedly ALC is absorbed better by the brain (Not enough "scientific evidence") but also supposedly better for us more mature folk in slowing down & in some cases reversing Oxidative mitochondrical decay. Mind u these studies done on rats. Rats are intelligent I've heard so I'm hoping that increases my odds :) if ur taking for improved muscle take the L. If taking for ur brain take the ACL. 500 mg. I also take 500 mg of choline for my brain or as close as I can get it; sometimes dosage on choline does not run even ratios. I wouldn't go over tho. Depending on ur diet I would get an omega supplement. I don't take becuz I take the CLA & gla which is safflower oil & borage oil so close enough for me since my diet is ok most of the time. Here's a link to a decemt article about ur omega ratios. I'm not sure about article endorsing any brands, I usually don't unless its something really stellar & amazing value. Most "oil based" omegas are pretty standard & similar. If u do fish oil spend the extra $ to get an excellent organic brand - too many factors go into making those supplements safe & good quality so I'm trusting the costlier ones make better efforts at producing a great final product. There are organic brand names well known for quality but a independent vitamin store would know better (Im not sure gnc reps would tell u as they want to push their brands?) try to do as much organic within ur budget. http://twentyfirstcenturyliving.hubpages.com/hub/Best-Omega-3-6-9-Foods I really don't know much because there is just soooo much info to learn & know. Of course if ur on any prescribed medications that makes a big difference in everything & the big disclaimer check with ur doc. If anything makes u feel funny dont ignore it stop taking it. Vitamins & supplements can be very dangerous. What I know is limited & just based on my own experiences so pay attention to ur own body. If u don't have any ill effects give the supplements at least a month or 2. I got instant energy from the vitamins becuz my body was so starved but my memory I didn't get an ahhh moment. One day I just realized hey I've actually been retaining more but I still have postits everywhere. But at one point I would have a conversation & literally not remember immediately after what was said during. If u feel like it let me know how things progress for u. (In the beginning I kept a mini journal, i couldn't remember how I felt each day, for comparison & 2 help me decide if the supps were doing anything for me.). I'm always looking for new info & would learn from ur experiences too!

gidgetpal One thing I would like to caution u about. Alot of the dailies on the market give u like hundredths or thousandths percentages of rda. Most times it's ok to go over (& u still gotta include ur food u actually eat) but one that is dangerous is vitamin a & I point that out because I've found alot of the dailies go way overboard on A. First I think max is 1500 mg/day & that is only if comes from whole food source like carrots etc. if its chem synthesized I think like only 1000 max. What I do is check vit A count & source on label & either switch to another or take less than daily dose on label. Recommended dosage is always high on all brands & sometimes u can cut in half & be fine (all about the $). Not only is A toxic at hi levels but I discovered personally that it will cause hair loss - alot. If you basically feel good from the vitamins but start developing itchy scalp & hair loss check ur vit A levels. That happened to me & once I cut back on A my hair grew back. That took me alittle bit of research to find so I wanted to point that out. :)
