Not for sale! Just sharingπ. I have been saving for a Chanel bag for my 28th birthday that is March 28th. I've been selling stuff and saving extra money and drooling over Chanel bags daily! Until... My best friend decided she wanted to get a rescue horse to rehabilitate and keep for herself (that's her and her boy in the last pic π). She has horses that her daughter rides and she boards my gelding at her place but her horse is retired so she wanted to get another for herself. Cont. below...

We found her horse, who she named Kismet or "Kizzy", through Camelot Horse Weekly on Facebook. It's a group that takes pics and networks horses that go through the Camelot Sales Barn auction that don't sell and if not sold they will be sold to slaughter. Kizmet was paid for on Friday and we planned the trip for Monday night. They are 330 and something miles from us. All weekend we wrecked our brains trying to figure how we were going to pull together more money to bail more of the skinny and or lame ones out so we could bring them back. I decided that my Chanel fund could be put to better use by saving a horse from slaughter. We were actually able to get not 2 but all 3 of the horses with health issues! We chose them specifically because we knew they would be less desirable to others. But not us! We have the knowledge and experience to really help them! The original plan was to keep only Kizzy and rehab and sell the other 2 to approved homes only so we could go up and rescue more. That original plan has basically gone out the window. Lol. The horses are absolutely amazing! We are pretty sure they were carriage horses because they have heavy duty shoes and hair missing where the harness would have been π. They are all three off and the 2 boys are extremely thin. My mare, who I named Chanel π, is pretty lame at the walk and the boys, Kismet and Prince Charming are off at the trot. We are assuming they were dumped because they are sore and the people didn't care what happened to them because they were no longer useful to them. It's so sad that someone could do that. But we'll have them fixed up in no time! They are so sweet and trusting, even after what they have been through. I'm so glad I had that money saved ππ. Still will be looking for a bag though soon in the future. Maybe I'll get done b day money. Thanks for reading!

@tuyet125 thanks! It was a difficult decision but then again it wasn't. Lol. I just kept thinking how I'd feel carrying around my Chanel when I could have saved 2 horses with that money. I REALLY want a Chanel bag!!

@joesgrl2006 well the wallet on chain is only around 2k. I didnt want to sell all of my babies, but i juz had a baby. My baby boy took every little inches in the room. No more space left, so i have to sell everything for more spaces lolz.

@hollygrace thanks! The 2 boys are doing great. Chanel is still very sore up front. We are concerned about a possible road founder. One of her back legs is still messed up too π. She's uncomfortable but not suffering. She's still very afraid too.

@1smalltowngurl thank u so much for your kind words!! Saving Chanel was so worth my Chanel bag fund. Such a sweet mare. My trainer friend found her a loving home after I kept her for just over a year to let her just be a horse again instead of a piece of machinery. She was an Amish horse and was used up and thrown away, and once broken they don't repair them they just ship them off to auction where their fate is unknown. But Chanel was one of the lucky ones ππ¦ππ¦ππ¦ππ¦
