From the late 1940's to early 1950's. Cleaning out my moms house because she passed away. My husband doesn't want me to sell this vintage dress but it's just hanging in the closet. It's absolutely stunning. The design has pearls and beading and is so beautiful

lenzibop @recycleretro @recycleretro my mother passed away & my father's been cleaning out the house. My daughter is modeling this one in the photos. It is from the 40s when my mom used to wear it and she just never threw anything away. I can do measurements and more details about the fabric but I just haven't had time yet.

lenzibop @recycleretro my husband doesn't want me to sell it so I had listed it high but lowered the price because it's just sitting in the closet and I don't really think my daughter is going to wear it.

lenzibop @rosasophia Yes my husband wants me to but the only thing is I just don’t know where my daughter would wear it. I feel like it would just sit in the closet and it’s vintage so I know it’s valuable.

rosasophia @lenzibop I'm a historian and archivist, so I can definitely recognize the concern that it might just sit. However, as an archivist, I can also say that they do have special archivally safe containers for such items, which families wish to keep but may not use again. This allows you to keep it safe, keep it in the family, and keep it from deteriorating. And, it can still be worn. :) Selling it, you may end up regretting it down the road. Just my two cents!
