I love dogs. Always have. I rescue. I currently have 21 animals total. I have dogs, cats, turtles, and a talking bird. This is certainly not all of my babies, but here are a few. Money I make on here goes toward emergency surgeries, vet bills, and saving lives.

lizraeg I know how you feel :) I used to rescue pets as well! We have 6 cats and 3 Dogs now that were never able to find homes that we are just completely attached to now and I don't know what I would do without them!

voguerecycled I agree a million percent!! I go to India often and you should see the stray dogs over there!!! Omg and ppl are mean!! They think I'm a crazy person because I pet them and feed them. Idc...I want to find a way to help strays there and spay/neuter them so bad...there are sooooo many and they just reproduce more. It's sad...

It's a catch 22. Most ppl who want to help animals simply sustain a sanctuary where the take care of them forever

voguerecycled I think some sort of tagging system to ID them would work. I think now they cut out a piece of their ear 😱 to ID ones that have been to the sanctuary and perhaps fixed. I don't really like that concept but whatever works at this point I guess. They need knowledge and a bit of technology

You are so lucky to have that many dogs who love you, bc nothing is better than a dogs love! I wish I could have that many dogs bc if i was able i would have a million!! sbethbarnett I love posh closets who showcase their pets! We have a whole houseful too. One of my babies was a rescue from a horrible situation. I actually had to move him to my grandmothers house after i kinda stole him from my neighbors. Collar embedded in his neck, eat up with mange, could hardly walk from secondary infections and malnutrition. It was awful! He is my big baby now!

appletini1 I have always been pretty independent myself when it came to my animal rescues needs. I have a dog who suffers from auto immune disease and needed blood transfusions immediately. I wasn't working because I just had a baby and my husband was just barely paying the bills without my income. All credit cards maxed. Ughhhhhh This was the last thing on our plate that we needed. So I panicked and asked family who can barely help...

ctp2236 Make sure you are connected to local non-profit /animal welfare- rescue centers. Maybe they can offer monetary funding or vet care. Talk to Vets to see if they could post you on a sliding scale.

In my opinion the human population needs euthanasia or sterilization just as they do it to animals. Too much human garbage in the world. But that is just whole other story... There should be services of free pet sterilization. I have it in my town. There is a waiting line but it is available. Maybe you can research if you have it in your area. 😺

But I completely understand where your heart is, I had to make the very difficult decision early on in my 20’s to walk away from a vet tech career. I adopted & rescued everything in site often getting in trouble at my job for sneaking patients in the back door.
