The "SilverMoonStardust" Mykonos Spike Bead Necklace: Teal Blue & Bronze Gemstone Necklace on Cord The Greek island of Mykonos has a rich history of arts and superior quality of clay that the artisans use to make clay vases and beads that are sought after around the world. The beads are hand-formed Metalized Ceramic Beads that are a labor of love. These truly unique and wonderful beads start as kiln-fired terracotta "biscuits." They are then fired a second time with rough copper, and finished with a coating of Pure Copper. Patinaed bronze & green Copper finishes are created by applying a chemical patina to the respective metals. I used lovely teal blue glazed ceramic Mykonos spike and tubular beads, Mykonos bronze Bali style beads, and Mykonos geometric shaped nugget/chip beads, along with bronze metallic spheres, vintage teal blue glass beads, and matching Imperial jasper gemstone beads. Strung on waxed hemp cording with a gunmetal lobster claw clasp. Designed to be a choker length necklace at 16" inches in length.
