It is warm but also breathable. It has been such a beautiful basic in my wardrobe and it is such high quality. I’ve owned this sweater for 2 or 3 years now and it shows virtually zero signs of wear - no pilling, rips or stains. I’ve found that the highest quality of cashmere does not pill and that is definitely the case with this sweater. I love it but am ready to rotate out for something new.
