This is one of my favorite pieces for very young teenagers or older boys. As a person, who was born and raised in California, the ocean, surfing and boats have just been a very familiar thing; it’s part of the Southern California vibe. I live about 15 minutes away from Marina Del Rey, which is an upscale area with sail boating docks. Nautica represents all of that and more; it represents sailing at its finest and the kind of apparel that should accompany that kind of nautical lifestyle. In the same way Vans, the original boating shoes, were popularized into streetwear; Nautica has made the same transition into our street culture. Like Ralph Lauren or Tommy Hilfiger; it’s a great American brand for preppy and classy Americans. Just the classic navy blue color with all of the luxurious little details, like the heavy metal zipper, the white sail boat logo on the heart, and the thickness of the hoodie because of the faux fleece lining put this in a class that far exceeds brands like Abercrombie & Fitch. It’s so preppy, yet the fur like lining also makes it a little rugged. They have their own niche, and it is awesome! It is a sick piece; oh how I wish this was in a men’s XL, I would totally take this for myself. The sweatshirt is in BRAND NEW CONDITION; there are zero stains, markings, holes, tears or any other imperfections on it. It’s literally perfect.
