Each strand is 50" long. Made from bright and colorful glass beads, they can be paired or stacked as a necklace, wristband or anklet. Handcrafted from cotton thread. Real African waist beads are non-stretchy. They will help you track your daily weight gain or loss. If you gain weight, the beads will be higher at the waist or feel tight. However, if you lose weight, the beads will feel loose and fall further down the hips. No stretch and no clasp. To install them, simply place them around your waist, decide where you want them to sit, remove the excess beads, and tie 3 to 4 knots. Once you are sure the beads are secure, cut off the excess string and beads. Be sure not to tie them too tight or else they will break! Leave enough room for sitting, bending and bloating.
