firsthandshake @mistyharper hi there! So the story behind these leggings is that I design and sew for the company that makes them. I sew them, and realized today that we are temporary out of the black liquid fabric, which is why I couldn’t accept your offer. I wanted to let you know, we have a black fabric that has a sheen to it that is very similar that I could make them out of for you, or I could let you know when this fabric arrives. firsthandshake @mistyharper @mistyharper hi! Ok so the last picture is of some color choices. The one all the way to the right is a kind of magenta with tiny black matte black do that add a cool texture, the next to the left is a “liquid blue” which is really cool...kind of an electric blue, next over is the other liquid black and the last one is a burgundy that has a slight sheen to it. I’m also going to be posting a couple more legging styles that are kind of edgy and size medium.

firsthandshake @mistyharper hey, so I was thinking today, I actually have a bunch of more edgy/ fun/ different designs and fabric combinations that I’ve been wanting to try out. If you’d like, we could work together and come up with some custom leggings for you. The only thing I’d have to do is purchase whatever fabric I use from the company I work for...it’s not expensive but I’d just have to account for that. sarawalli Hi!!! These are awesome ! I have 2 pair of Apex leggings already I got through Posh, one in black/black mesh and a burgundy one. I prefer the material if the black pair better (doesn’t ride down and just fits better although both are size small) but I really love them both and what the brand stands for! I would be thrilled to try a liquid pair if have any full length smalls come available in the future !!! Thank you !!! :)

We don’t have the liquid fabric that we typically use, but we do have a small amount of the liquid fabric that we used to use. It’s a little less shiny, but in my opinion more comfortable. I could make you a pair with that fabric if you would like- just let me know!!

sarawalli @firsthandshake thank you for the response :) hmmm I think that fabric sounds nice...I trust your judgment! A black or burgundy color would be nice if you have that! About fit: the black Apex leggings I have in size small fit great but the dark red Apex I purchased next ended up coming in different thinner fabric that is a bit too small, even though they were listed as same size (I assumed same fabric but that was my mistake ). This makes me wonder what size to order from you :)

firsthandshake @sarawalli hmm okay so the black apex fabric is “upluxe”. It’s a little thicker and has more spandex in it. The dark red thinner fabric was probably the burgundy which doesn’t have as much stretch. I think I would go with a medium for this. It’s not quite as stretchy as the upluxe fabric.

firsthandshake @mammaebambino hey! So it’s a spandex that has a nice sheen to it. It’s not quite as shiny as the other fabric, but in my opinion is more comfortable. We originally made the liquid leggings out of it. I can take a picture and post it if you’d like.

firsthandshake @emharris94 aw that is so great. It’s an awesome company. So, we are out of the fabric on the top right now, but we should be getting more in soon. Either way though, the top fabric has more of a metallic sheen to it than the bottom fabric. The fabric in the bottom picture is a little softer and is a little more subtle in the sheen.

firsthandshake @emharris94 I’m not really sure which one people prefer overall. I like both, but I think I like the bottom one a little better because it’s more subtle so you can wear them with anything, and in my opinion it’s more comfortable.

firsthandshake @jmart0718 darn. I have an xs. If you are interested though, I am the technical designer at GTS so I design the patterns and make the prototypes. As of recently though, I’m branching off and so that it’s not a conflict of interest, I’ve started ordering in my own fabric and I’m planning on making custom leggings for customers because GTS doesn’t actually go so far as to make really custom leggings. So if you’d like, I could order in a couple yards of burgundy liquid and sew them up for you.

My barre studio still has some shorts from GTS on sale however the fabric those shorts are made of doesn’t really look great on me. My favorite pants from GTS are the Apex leggings. I was wondering if it would be possible to make a pair of shorts with the black apex fabric and a pair with the maroon apex fabric which have the same waste band as all of the leggings?

Regardless though, I can do that for you! I have a burgundy fabric which is very close to the burgundy GTS has, and same with the black. I also have been wanting to make longer shorts too/ almost like a Bermuda Short. I can send you a picture to see if you might be interested.

firsthandshake @saucyco so I actually have a fabric that is kind of the best of both worlds. It has a slight sheen (but only slight) that you would get from the matte liquids, but is a heavier weight to it- closer to the weight of the upluxe fabric that’s used for their regular leggings.
