salamiosaurus @rosierecycles Hey! I mostly focus on the quality of the photo. I take my photos on iPhone then edit within iPhone for brightness/sharpness and color correction. I sometimes edit again on instagram if I feel like their editing features will allow the photo to "pop" and show more of the details. Then in the description, I make sure to use up the description word limit with "tags" at the end like I did in this post. It helps people find your item if they search one of those tag words :)

salamiosaurus @rosierecycles Depending on what the image is, I'll sometimes "white out" the background (there are mobile apps for this), especially if the background just looks too busy and detracts from the item. I try to make the photos look either like stock photos you'd see on a store's website or go for a certain aesthetic like I did with this one. Feel free to ask any follow-ups! I'm happy to help :)

rosierecycles I know that’s probably one of my “downfalls” RE my photos … I do BUSY backgrounds 😂🤷🏻‍♀️… it’s part of the fun for me 😻… Although I may be chopping off my nose to spite my face 😝🥸

salamiosaurus @rosierecycles I think busy backgrounds can work! I think it works ok in this photo with the rug in the background. Maybe the key is to have the colors contrast enough so the item sticks out. When I don't know what to do, I'll just take the item outside and photograph it in the sun if I'm out of ideas :) Another thing I do is share my items a few times a day and share/follow back others. I think it all contributes to Posh's algorithm in how high up your items will appear in a search.

rosierecycles @salamiosaurus well, you SHOULD‼️😍 I don’t actually know… I think just from sharing to parties, or rather, sharing in general. Then a user who is hosting a party picks a number of postings to highlight the party theme (?)
