No, These boots are not high the arch of the heel which is the most important part is just 2cm under 2 inches and the entire heel is just under 3 inches so that makes for the feeling of about 2.5 inches if you look at the side picture you see how low the arch is. I hope this helps and these are so cute. Honestly since we moved to Florida I wear mostly flip flops and I just don’t need 10 pairs of closed toe ankle boots they are in excellent condition
