kreativekristen Not to put more on your plate , but the first words of you listing title is what comes up first on line , which is why we usually start with the brand name … I say this because of the numbers you have in front of you… only trying to help…kristen

hpeldridge @kreativekristen I put the numbers there so that during live or silent parties a potential buyer can let me know which item to auction. It works pretty well for that. I didn’t realize what you just told me though. Thank you!

kreativekristen @hpeldridge well that make perfect sense, another reason the live shows make things so convoluted … the direction posh is evolving to reminds me very much of a political party that is folding in on itself rather then being all inclusive … it may work in the short term but in the long run it will alienate the diversity that make the whole thing work…

hpeldridge @kreativekristen I agree with you. Posh doesn’t care about anything but making money. The rule: can’t put boutique items in a posh live show. Rule broken: the biggest live show on here is nothing but boutique. And she sells every item

kreativekristen @hpeldridge believe it or not when someone is allowed to break rules openly it’s usually because the know someone on staff…personally, I’m not a fan of boutique because of the disposable fashion fit and durability .send me her closet name , leave spaces…and it won’t trigger anything…like @ kreative Kristen…;)

hpeldridge @kreativekristen karis. fashion. No periods. She is usually on for 12 hours on every Saturday. Sells every single item. For the past 2 months she also did Thursdays (I think it was Thursday). Last night she said it was her last show of the year. Apparently she has an entire team working with her and it looks like it is out of her storefront.

hpeldridge @kreativekristen So good for her. She usually has hundreds of people in her Live Show. It is just hard for people who don’t break rules to do well on Poshmark. I’ve have 2 Live Shows. Sold one purse the first time but by the time I tried to print the shipping label she had cancelled. I’ve been several silent show. Sold several things, shipped once, because they cancel it.

hpeldridge @kreativekristen but… usually I do sell things from my closet after the shows to people who were at the show. It’s usually things that I didn’t have in the show.

hpeldridge @kreativekristen that closet name: she is very sweet during her shows. Seems very grateful to her buyers. She was the key note speaker at posh fest this year I think.

kreativekristen @hpeldridge she was sharing with me ,as soon as I stoped, she stoped…trying to compete against a storefront closet is like a handcrafted trying compete with a corporations. This gets again very political, posh started as a local Bay Area business and everyone was welcome, it went public and sold off to a foreign entity. So they look at where they get the most money, and they love lump sums , not caring about the total sum of all the regular sellers which are more then the lump sums.

hpeldridge @kreativekristen I agree with you entirely. I know companies are in it to make money, but there is no fairness or loyalty any longer. And I miss that

kreativekristen
kreativekristen @hpeldridge I was the merchandise coordinator for a thrift storeThe store manager loved selling furniture because it sold in lump sums,I loved selling the woman’s clothes, women were our main shoppers,so woman’s clothing outsold furniture, even when I put the numbers on paper he still never admitted it. It ends up about standing firm to your convictions,I never gave up clothing space ,he stoped trying to control what I did.Stand firm to the quality of your clothing and promoting them as such.

hpeldridge @kreativekristen I have collected ALOT of items to sell so I have no choice at this point. 😂😂😂. I still enjoy it as a hobby.

hpeldridge @kreativekristen quick question: When I get a notice that “my referral so-and-so joined Poshmark. Welcome them”. Does that mean when they make a purchase and accept it- they get $10 off and I get $10 posh credit. I have never gotten a posh credit from this and for some reason this weekend I’ve gotten 43 of them so far. Of course they haven’t had time to buy and accept.
Dec 17Reply
hpeldridge
hpeldridge @kreativekristen 43 posh referrals not posh credits. That wasn’t clear.
Dec 17Reply
kreativekristen
kreativekristen @hpeldridge you must have posted something on line that includes your posh closet name, I ve gotten a few lately, so I greet them and let them know I’m a mentor and can answer any question, tons join posh but not everybody ends up buying because they can’t figure out how to do it … help them if you can
Dec 17Reply
kreativekristen
kreativekristen @hpeldridge only after they buy will you get a $10 credit…

hpeldridge
hpeldridge @kreativekristen I pay for the Promoted Closet and I have a banner in my closet with my closet name. That banner must be getting promoted this weekend. I have now received 55. That is 12 since I talked with you. It’s crazy. Thanks for being my mentor. You never fail to help me when I ask.
Dec 17Reply
hpeldridge
hpeldridge @kreativekristen I knew that. I am just surprised that after all these years I’ve never gotten a Posh credit. So NO ONE has purchased? Never? I may not be very trusting right now. Ha!!!!
Dec 17Reply
kreativekristen
kreativekristen @hpeldridge so how much does the promoted closet cost… they ve asked me but I never saw the value, let me know how much you make …good luck , use you ‘ meet the posher ‘ listing to greet the new poshers, so they get who you are and what your closet has to offer.
Dec 17Reply
hpeldridge
hpeldridge @kreativekristen it was free for 2 weeks if I remember correctly. Then you chose what you want to pay. I selected to pay up to $20 per week although I’ve never paid that much. I have paid between $8.13 to $12.38 per week since I begin to do this. I was an accountant before I went to nursing so numbers are important to me and it has been worth it to me so far. I want people to spend their Christmas money with me and then I will cancel. I’ll prob cancel mid January. You can cancel anytime.
Dec 17Reply
hpeldridge
hpeldridge @kreativekristen you pay per “click” and posh doesn’t tell you what they promote or where to find it. I think I’ve figured it out at times due to something being shared many times and then sold. Posh does tell you which of your promoted items were sold. They make a list of those.
