kjansy Perfectly said! ❤️ One buyer rated me on ship time even though I ship same day and it took the post office a longer than expected to deliver the package. Buyers shouldn't rate you on ship time unless they look at the tracking # and what their postage says because the number of shipping days can vary. There's on time to ship from the seller, and on time to ship from the post office. Once it leaves our hands it's all up to the post office 😜

alaska42 @kjansy oh I know!!! As if you personally are every postal worker that hand delivers their package..... I almost quit posh because I made an account in order to make a purchase but never actually became involved till more recently when I put up some items and started selling. My very first sale I sold a sunglasses case that had two small intentions on the top from being in a box. I took a close up photo and detailed it in the description.

suzesloane I so love when a posher has included pretty tissue paper, ribbon and a nice thank you note with my purchase!! Compare that to someone who merely tosses the item into a box with nothing to say for it. I've received both types and I'll tell you, I'm far more willing to shop a posher who takes care. It has certainly set my own standard for shipping. 💕💕💕

rockcandy4u Bravo! It's refreshing to hear this!! Yes! I decorate all my packages, colorful crepe paper, fancy cards...i spend a lot of money on making customers feel appreciated...yet when I purchase 9 times out of 10 it's just thrown in a box, rattling, no card, no Thankyou. On the ot her hand, afyer all the things I do...ive had 3 people give me horrible 1 stars or 2 because the USPS took their time shipping.. .or maybe they were in a bad mood. Really??? I get so uptight. That S all 😀

I'm waiting for the day I get a cute package or a free gift 🎁🤞. A pair of sunglasses I bought still had some makeup stuck in the lenses from when she'd worn them last... 😾

I actually told people to go to EBay to sell because they're too immature for Poshmark! I have a few Celebrity client's that ask me to gift wrap and ship to their family and friends....I treat all my customers the same! I want people to keep coming back. Everybody lives unwrapping surprises! I'm the Virgo!!!

When you give a rating it asks if you "want to leave a comment" I was like oh no 😱 I love my item and she wrote a cute thank you note!! I didn't want to get her in trouble! I didn't realize that THAT was my opportunity to say what a nice seller she was 🤦‍♀️

alaska42 @restylez_ ok so when you buy something, as the BUYER when your purchase comes a little notification pops up on your phone telling you the box has arrived and please rate to release payment. So each BUYER (you) has 3 FULL days from when you get your box to rate/write a comment. You going into the app, going to "my purchases" and giving a rating gives the SELLER (me) his/her money

alaska42 @restylez_ so when you get the box that is when you inspect the item for damage, item matching description, correct item.. whatever. If your item is as described then you go into the app and actively release our payment to us by giving the rating. If you do nothing Poshmark does not pay us until the fourth day after you get your box. The option to leave a comment (yay please do!) is below the star rating.

alaska42 Sellers LOVE love notes because A. we take time making your box up or including a free gift and it's nice to hear that it wasn't just a complete waste of time and wasn't appreciated and B. because your ⭐️ rating and/or note goes on our seller profile and tells other potential buyers that we're safe to buy from. alaska42 @restylez_ Ha! Ok babe so for share groups you do what's called "tag" yourself or "sign in" on the sign up sheet each day when the sign is posted. Some are put up the night before for the next day just check the date. Do it every day or once a week it's your choice. The sign up is for that day only.

alaska42 @restylez_ You sign in by putting @yourclosetname so I would put @alaska42 on the sign up sheet and then you share however many items the sign up description tells you to. Each one is different but the description will tell you. Your first time to a posher's share group you'll put NEWBIE next to your name.

alaska42 @restylez_ when you press and hold on a listing (mobile phone) a screen pops up and the top will say Share to: My followers and then you hit the share button! On a computer over by where you like and comment is a square lookin icon and if you click that the same share to my followers pops up and you click share 💋

So I know what it's like to be confused but not know where or how to ask. There's no stupid question! That SG is fantastic because it's only 4 shares. When posh parties are going on there are several poshers who "host" this party. Each of the hosts are given a certain amount of items to choose from that they feel fit the theme to be their "Host Picks" for the party, like a showcase. You really want a HP for the massive exposure your item and therefore your closet gets as a result of being chosen and showcased.

alaska42 @ej_savvy you are sent notifications about Posh Parties, Follow Games, New Suggested Users... that kind of stuff. You WANT to get on a tag team, several in fact if there's room. When you find a party listing in someone's closet or you join a tag team and are sent the notification, go to the party listing and congratulate the host in the honor of hosting a posh party in the hopes that they will look through your closet for a HP.

alaska42 @ej_savvy If you have never had a HP SAY THAT in your comment. Most hosts follow the etiquette of picking a certain amount of HP from brand new closets or those that have never had a HP. Like the listing, make your congrats comment, optional share item from the host closet, share the listing and make sure to follow the host. Liking the listing lets you keep track of the party for when the party host drops the price it'll pop up in your feed.

alaska42 @ej_savvy OH!! I forgot the most important part. Any closet that wishes to get a HP or get on a tag team for parties from the big closets MUST be posh compliant. I checked out your closet and you're all good! You have great listings and a variety of really great stuff! Just make sure to never sell used makeup, lotion, perfume, nail polish all that stuff. It's a NO NO. Or put something as Kate Spade for the exposure but it's a Walmart purse... that kinda stuff.

There is a really well known big closet posher on here that had a sign saying her ENTIRE closet (in all caps like that too) is on sale. I saw a necklace I really liked so I asked if it was part of her promotion and she replied back the next day with “really? If I wanted it to be part of the sale I would’ve said it so no”

If you ever have an issue some say to give the 5🌟 rating and write the problem as the “love note” because that’s the only way anyone will see it. Anything less than 5🌟 doesn’t count as a love note so it’s not seen by anyone else

When they purchase from within my Closet I wrap each individual item..as if I am wrapping a gift that I myself would be impatiently sitting at the window. Glancing out like a chikd at Christmas awaiting its arrival. The reason for knowing their likes.. For each individual first purchase from me. I include a 🎁 of equal value to show my appreciation.

As well as the fact that when checking out...they were given a code with their first purchase.. Which they can use each and everytime they return to my Closet..that gives them an automatic repeat customers discount. And it can be used during Sales and with other discounts.

heathersworld @alaska42 I accept an Sellers package the moment that I have opened it. If I find something is wrong.. Than I immediately try and contact the Seller to let them know..so not to file a case. Useally we can resolve the matter. Only twice have I had a Seller refuse to respond back leaving me no choice but to file on the third day. And if I haven't given your stars or written your review..give me a day or two. Cause seldom do I not give 5 stars and write a rave review.

We left Atlanta, sold our home in the city and moved up here only for my husband to have to move back to Atlanta 6 weeks after we moved here... so it’s just been our son and I here riding out the lease. So I’m going back to the place I’ve lived my whole life and I’m so incredibly sad

alaska42 @sbecker1962 community activities constantly. Every little city does their own so you have things goin on all the time and every weekend. People legitimately do crab bakes and I’m only 2 hours to Manhattan or an hour to a beautiful beach. (I’m 3 miles to ocean front but you don’t wanna swim there) people are friendly and it’s just legitimately the best kept secret of the north. Oh and there’s Dunkin’ Donuts every 100 ft 😂😂😂

alaska42 @sbecker1962 rent depends on where in this little state you are. The trouble here in Dover is that the Air Force Base drives up the rent prices because so many here are Air Force. With the stipend they get places here set their rent higher because AF will pay it. Prices for homes to buy though is dirt cheap. But you can find places for normal prices but it’s the cheap food and no taxes that help a lot

I’m on the top floor so I have a view of the pond and the fields and vaulted ceilings. Girl it’s bigger than the house we sold lol we moved in and I’m like holy crap a walk in closet?! What am I gonna do with all this space haha
