@chicago08 I also think she might like this little black dress. It criss crosses in the front & it is flowy. It is a size small in womens so If she is my size it should fit perfectly. Let me know if you like it :)

Thx! I had her when I was 19 and though it's been difficult its getting to the point where we r becoming friends. I'm looking forward to the day my daughter and I become best friends too! She moved back to TX last month w my fam and the rest of us will be moving down there next month. I miss her and find myself buying her stuff on here often now. I enjoy shopping for her.

@chicago08 That's great! My mother had me a week after she turned 18 so I can understand that! When I was 16 my mother & I barely got along, she was very protective! I've learned that as you get older you realize that you only have one mother in this world & as time goes by I see more & more of her in myself & we are very much best friends now. I'm sure you and your daughter will be too :) that must be so fun to shop for her!

It's been tough!!!! I want nothing but for her to have a good life and be happy. That's not always interpreted by her the same. I too am protective and at times hover a bit. I only see my baby and she's had it hard (her dad passed away on her 6th bday). Things are getting better and I have faith that she and I will be just like you and your mom one day. She's a good kid and I know that w time she will understand me.

@chicago08 she will :) & I am so sorry to hear that. I never in a million years thought that I would ever understand my mother. When I was a kid I used to cling to her, I never wanted to leave her side, when I was a teenager I wanted to be as far away from her as possible haha & when I turned 18 & graduated high school I got my own apartment & all I wanted was my mommy! haha

Sound like we've been on the same path. I guess most mom/daughters do. When she was 8 or 9 she got mad at me for something and told me that when she turned 18 she was gonna pick one of the 50 states to move to and she wouldn't tell me which one. Lol. I laughed and said well at least ur smart enough to know there's 50 states. I love seeing her grow up but I hate the reality that she needs me less and less!

@chicago08 Haha! I said alot of things like that as well. I promised my mom I was going to move far away & that I would never stay in RI. As she gets older she will need you more & more. Trust me on that one! lol I wish you & your family nothing but the best! You are an amazing mother!

It's very classy & can be worn casually with maybe a denim jacket over it or dressed up for a night out!
