The Norton McNaughton product line—Norton McNaughton, Norton McNaughton Petite, Maggie McNaughton, and Maggie McNaughton Petite—was introduced in 1981; it was marketed in miss, petite, and large sizes to department stores and national chains. When Peter Boneparth became Norton’s president in 1997 he commented that within the next three to five years the company could reach annual sales of $500 million.
