mytempleflower @9twelve Hi there! I just wanted to thank you again for this really lovely handbag! And share a couple pictures of the lining replaced. Scott at Fordham Repair was actually excited to work on this piece because he had not seen this design in a long time. He really took care of this handbag! Hope all is well!

mytempleflower @ariles1 Hi! Aww thanks for your interest! I am pretty excited about how it turned out:) Scott at Fordham Repair does a lot of repairs for luxury handbags and travel luggage. It's not a huge company I think... Same lady answers the phone... You can call after 4-4:30pm to talk to Scott himself. They have a non-interactive website that he's updating just now so more people can reach him. And he can post his work too. Just google Fordham Repair NYC, you'll see the address and phone number. I called and spoke with him before I mailed my two bags in. Definitely don't forget tracking, insurance, maybe even require signature if you're at all worried about the post losing your item. Then call them after you're pretty sure they've received it. You can discuss what you'd like done for the price point you'd like. Just a warning, it will take awhile, which depends on your expectations. I was ready for at least a month because of my online research and he had to order the materials for repair. My navy blue Gucci needed a completely new lining done in a really nice thin soft suede... That was over $200 and worth it to me. My beige brown Gucci just needs emblem repair which is about $70. It's an investment in something you're keeping (I actually love the vintage web designs more than the current styles) or selling (if you get a piece for a good price pre-repairs). There are other websites (eg, BBOS) but I like Fordham's shop. Those sites won't be any cheaper. Fordham's is personable and a real institution in Manhattan. I sound corny but if Scott asks how you heard about them, tell him it was "Chris from Jersey, with the unique vintage Gucci" and Poshmark of course.๐Ÿ‘ Hope that helps! Stop by anytime๐Ÿ˜Š!!
