Left yellow and bottom green are the AUTHENTICS. Right pale yellow is fake. Although back labeling shows diff for fake and real! This was merely a slight redesign by Mac and nothing to base determination on. However....UNDERSIDE OF CAP IS! Since so many throw out the inner cover lid (see pics of authentic inner lid here. With batch code, manufacturers name..etc ALL MAC HAS THESE) a POSITIVE way to tell auth from fake is take out the white 'gasket' inside cap. READ MORE BELOW

bigskyskinz Under white 'gasket' of ALL MAC pigments, is manufacturer stamps. . Name/numbers. Etc. Fakes ...You see. .For those making knock offs to duplicate the 'hidden' design of authentic would be a logistical nightmares Financially as well. We're talking new / redesign of actual factory machinery . Idk WHY I see noone ever asking to see this area of product but it's fool proof. Everything else (except quality) can and IS replicated.

bigskyskinz These company's have scouts out here on ALL these sites...Looking for WHAT WE, THE BUYER... is looking out for. And they implement these things ASAP. Idk how rich you are....NO ONE likes doling out for fake CRAP.and more often than not, its poison! Unregulated trash. So don't get scammed folks!! If someone is put out by you wanting to authenticate before purchase, they KNOW they're scamming. And people with dozens and dozens of fake Mac items KNOW WELL They're Fake.

bigskyskinz @alesiacolvin I'm just glad you gals see this . I wish I had 200k followers on here SOLEY for this purpose. So anyone could access info to verify authenticity at all times. It would put a big ole' steamy turd in the movers of knockoff garbages soup pot. Lol. It genuinely effects me. Seeing people spending their almost ALWAYS hard earned buck....On trash that could and often does, damage their skin. I appreciated ya'll's support!

pandalanda I've come across a few seriously phoney mac paint pots and lipsticks. crazy, you know when you scroll down they show you similar products? it was a nasty bunch of fake makeup. I couldn believe it. I would never sell anything like that :-( I'm gonna post some Rocky Horror pigments this weekend. we have a few left at my work. one is gold glitter and the other is a mix of red, brown, and purple. sounds odd but it's actually gorgeous. let me know if you have any ISO. we have pressed pigments too.
