NWOT Artisan Shell Earrings

Unique shell (?) earrings bought at an artisan fair in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Not sure if they are shell or some other natural material, if you know please let me know! A little heavy (heavier than the other shell earrings I have posted). Has a slight sheen to it, a natural glossy/shiny finish. Never used. About 1 and 3/4 inches long.
