NWOT Mabel And Snow Quilt Coat Genuine Sheepskin Collar Size Small / Medium. This Mabel And Snow quilt coat is a dream! Genuine sheepskin collars in brown and creamy white that are interchangeable add to it's appeal. Comprised of a light to mid weight stunning quilt from the late 1800's/early 1900's that is full of character. These quilt coats are investment pieces, will last a lifetime and can be mended throughout time if need be. Quilt coats are expensive pieces of art and I don't think photographs do this coat justice. I did my best to show how the quilt has been left in it's original condition and how incredible that condition is! It's rare to see black in a quilt from this time but this coat has plenty of it! There are snaps hidden inside the collar that allow the wearer to switch out the cream and brown collars or they can wear it without a fur collar on a warmer fall/winter day. The coat has been stored in a lightweight cotton bag similar to a pillowcase as suggested by the maker and in it's original shipping box, never worn. All stains, threads, backing showing through etc are original of the quilt and meant to be on display in this incredible garment. This is a piece of history that is wearable and has many stories to tell. I am stopped constantly and complimented when I wear my quilt coats and this one will surely stop people in their tracks.
