Size 10.5 With the Nike SF Air Force 1 Black Gum (No Bag) (2016), designer Bruce Kilgore reimagines the classic basketball sneaker as a military boot that can elevate any look. The 2016 iteration of the Black/Gum Nike Special Field Air Force 1 features a stealthy base constructed from black tumbled leather with the signature perforations in the toebox. Overlays of black tumbled leather adorn the toebox, eye stays, and side panel Swoosh. The heel is composed of black nylon and mesh with a vertical tab that evolves into a pull-loop. An ankle strap and embossed lugs underscoring the Nike Swoosh give the shoe a rough and ready look. The gold script on the medial collar branding tag provides the one hit of color on the upper. The aspect of this shoe we enjoy the most is the way the sole unit ties the look together. The black midsole with encapsulated Air and embossed Air branding matches the upper, while the gum rubber outsole pops with contrast yet ties back to the branding patch.
