is it possible to remove the straps do you know?

the third pic shows how they're attached- I think you'd have to cut them off as they're stitched and have a metal piece. But in theory yes they could be removed.

@qcclark thanks I thought maybe they were snaps, and it was just asking in case it could be thrown in the wash. I have other nylon bags that I just put in the washing machine.
