NWOT Studio 189 Tropical Tiered Blue Ruffle Skirt

The Tiered Ruffle Skirt is dyed by our artisans using a traditional batik technique, which involves drawing the leaf pattern on wood or foam and then carving out the shape. The pattern is inspired by tropical flowers and leaves that we see in nature. Each stamp is placed by hand and the colors are mixed together like an artist. Every yard is painted by hand and no two pieces are exactly alike. The skirt is in 5 tiers and each tier is self-lined. The skirt consumes 16 yards of fabric due to the fullness of each layer with the lining. The 1st tier is attached together with the lining on the waist, and the 2nd tier with the lining is sewn to the first tier lining edge beneath leaving the first tier hanging. The 3rd tier is sewn onto the 2nd tier lining beneath leaving the 2nd tier hanging freely. The same as the 4th tier. The edges of each tier are nicely hemmed and a waistband of 1.5 inches is used to finish the waist of the skirt. It can take 1 or 2 tailors to sew the skirt and 2 days to complete the skirt.
