Does this dress flare out at the sides? Do you have any pictures of you in it?

It is too small for me so I cannot put it on. It measures 15" from armpit to armpit. It measures 18" from the top of the short slit to the top of the long slit for some flare. I could try to put it on my dress form but I think it would hang straight like the photo. The flare is evident with movement.

There are two slits -- 9 1/2 high on the velvet side; 2" on the metallic side, excluding the beaded fringe.
