jeweledthumb @renedovey unstretched top across is just under 17.5"; waist unstretched just over 17" across. A note, the seam for the waist dips down towards the center and rises up towards the side vertical hems. The waist to the hem is ~23". So depending on your bust size and how high or low waisted you are, this will likely hit at above your natural waist. Laid flat the waist from the top (due to the curved seam is roughly between 8.5-11") longest towards the center; shorter towards the sides.

jeweledthumb @renedovey I would, but it's too big for me now (I'm about a M in similar Gap items). I realized I made an error in my last comment, the dress seam that goes around the general "waist" area goes up towards the side seams, not hems! I hope that didn't make it more confusing!

jeweledthumb @renedovey Alright. So if the purple ruler was straight, that lines up with the side seam that intersects with the waist seam (you should see the seam moving farther down from the ruler towards the middle). As you can likely tell, this hits me at my natural waist now (though I am high waisted), but it didn't when I bought it. For reference, my chest is about a 34DDD so that might help a bit and I am wearing clothes underneath so it stays up!

jeweledthumb @renedovey There is also the internal shelf bra, and you can move the "waist" up or it could fit that way on you depending on your measurements. I pulled it down fully so you could see the rounded shape. Thank you for your interest though.
