josdresser attempting to answer your question… yes, the neckline plunges to approximately the sleeve cuff, but maybe just a bit above. Second question: depends on how risqué you are about sheerness. I do believe you could wear without an additional layer, but it would , I imagine that you wore a black bra. So it is open v in center, and yes, you could get away in my opinion without a layer, but depends on how conservative you want to be; individual opinion.
