Nanamica is known for its technical-meets-daily sensibility and these fleece trousers that look like flannel are a great example of the kind of trickery that let you be comfortable in the office while giving off the impression of urbanity. Somehow golf pants became acceptable, and nanamica is probably to blame, but the double buttoning point, tight pleat, fine ykk zipper and quality pockets are definitely not in the same league. The pants feature a gusset in case you need to kick your boss in the face, beefy felled inseam and iutseam stitching in case you actually $9 manual work like in a foundry something (don't wear these to a foundry, they're polyester), heavy twill taping at the tapered hem to keep the lightweight fleece hanging normally, and buckle tabs at the waist to cinch 'em if necessary. The material dries quickly if you happen to get caught in the rain, too. Taghed size 34, they work well for that size but they're heavily tapered: definitely a specific look that I won't call current but is very comfortable if you wear adidas soccer pants most of the time. Step up from athleisure into, uh, a different, more refined athleisure.
