The spacious main compartment could carry a day's worth of essentials--your laptop, files, gym clothes, etc. The outside compartment is roomy enough for a tablet, cell phone, glasses, keys, etc., with quick access via brass zipper. On the opposite side, your tickets, maps, magazines, and bottle water can fit into the two divided pockets. In addition, on each end there's room for a compact, portable umbrella in the tall narrow slots.
